Did You
Know...
DE filter
manufactures recommend the filters be
disassembled and cleaned every 6 months.
All natural
stone and decking should be sealed when
using a salt water system to prevent
erosion.
Periodic
backwashing will remove most dirt from a
clean filter; however, over a period of
time, grease, oils and scale can attack
and build up on the elements. When this
occurs, you should clean or replace your
filter depending on the type of filter.
Too much
combined chlorine in your pool causes
the strong chlorine odor. When the
combined chlorine level reaches 0.2 ppm
or more, it is time to shock your water.
Shocking will eliminate the odor.
pH should be
7.2-7.8 ppm. Correct pH level is
critical for proper oxidation and to
help prevent scale build up.

Green Pools
and 1x Cleanings |
|
Green algae
(or green pool) is a common problem for
swimming pool owners. Green algae often
appears as a greenish growth on the
walls and floors of your pool, and can
result in your pool water taking on a
green tint, due to greenish organic
material suspended in the water of your
pool. This algae not only resides within
your pool, but can also spread to you
pool's pipes and pool equipment. Many
pool owners have been frustrated when,
after hours of scrubbing and the
addition of the wrong type of chemicals
they realize that a week later their
pool is as green as it ever was. This
ends up costing owners time and money.
At New Braunfels Pool Company, we will
cure your green pool problems the first
time. |
